The 40th annual meeting of the Society for Historians for the Early American Republic will meet at the Marriott Downtown at Key Center from 19 to 22 July, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. Over the years, SHEAR has developed a reputation for welcoming all scholars and history practitioners to its annual meetings. We gather with old friends and new, discuss ideas and share resources, and inspire each other. Our programs—from panels to plenary to presidential address—are created with attention to quality and variety. We have something for everyone! So please join us in 2018.

To celebrate SHEAR’s 40th Annual Meeting, registrant may purchase the commemorative items which can be picked up when they register at the conference.
